Adult Education

We believe it is important to create a space where adults can come together and express questions about faith, belief, and everything in between. Over the past few years, we have held several book clubs, many Bible studies, and these have been a great opportunity to discuss some of the bigger questions in life with a group of people.

Doug MacEachern, a former minister of St. John's and our Minister Emeritus (which translated roughly means our 'good friend') usually leads these studies. Doug's wealth of knowledge and depth of understanding adds a critical component to these studies. While having served in churches across the Maritimes, for twenty-two years, Doug served as Dean of Students, Associate Professor of Sociology, and Chaplain at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro. In 1993, Mount Allison University conferred upon him an Honourary Doctor of Laws for his service to church, community, college and universities.

Doug also preaches from time to time, and brings all of his knowledge and passion to the sermon.
